Adenoid Resection

A typical procedure to remove the adenoids is adenoid removal, sometimes known as an adenoidectomy. The adenoids are glands that are situated at the roof of the mouth, behind the soft palate, where the nose and throat converge.

The adenoids create white blood cells called antibodies, which aid in the defence against illnesses. The adenoids often contract during adolescence and may vanish by maturity. However, surgical removal of adenoids is needed when they are enlarged and result in mouth breathing or snoring

Tonsillectomies, or the removal of the tonsils, are frequently carried out in tandem by doctors. Both glands are frequently inflamed and infected as a result of persistent throat and respiratory infections.
